We believe this could be an '83 or '84 Schwinn Touring Paramount. No visible serial number on bottom bracket or rear dropout due to repaint. Frame is 57cm center to top seat tube, 22" c-c seat tube, 22" c-c top tube,170mm crank arms, 9cm stem, 42cm bars c-c. The bike appears to have been repainted (pro quality) and has the decal kit from an 80s....83, 84? Schwinn Paramount. Equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo Record / Super Record / Strada / Rally components, 3X6 drivetrain. Wheels are 27" clincher type, 36 spoke with new Panaracer Pasela 27 X 1 1/8" tires and tubes. Front rim is a polished Super Champion (maybe original), rear rim is a finish matching Mavic MA2. Wheels are true, hubs are smooth, rim braking surface is good. Campagnolo dropouts with eyelets front and rear, hourglass upper rear rack braze-ons,Cinelli bottom bracket shell. Cinelli bar (model 66-42, 42cm) and stem (1A / 9cm), Arundel Pave' tape. 3 sets of water bottle braze-ons, on seat tube, down tube, and underside of down tube. Campy Record? pedals with Christophe Special chrome toe clips (no straps), great shape. Stronglight / Paramount alloy headset (smooth), Zeus 2000 saddle, Campagnolo Super Record seat post. Silca Impero frame pump with Campy pump head included. Paint / Finish is in great shape on the frame and fork with the exception of a few (maybe 10?) small pecks in the paint (See Photos), no dents or dings. The Campy components are in great shape, shiny and work perfectly. Chain, cables, housing are fresh to new. The bike rides, shifts, and stops smoothly as a bike of this vintage should. Several people have commented on Cinelli bottom bracket shell. Original? The result of a repair? Custom frame? Not a Paramount? Who knows? Thanks for looking!
